Run Aspa! Run!

The last time I posted up an entry was a week ago…I’m so busy with uni work such as assignment, presentation, meeting and script writing… and if you haven’t noticed it by now, it’s ‘puasa’ so every night I’m at my aunt’s for ‘terawih’…the only time I can do my work is right after classes or in-between classes or at midnight…sarcastically speaking, that explains my late night “activeness” and my morning “overexcitement”  hahaha I’m racing against deadlineS…

oh btw, have I told you that every Wednesday I have 4 2-hour lectures, from 8am-4pm straight?!!! Now, I have…oh joy!!!

oh yea, tonight is the night, to all football freaks, you know what I’m talking about…

okay…till then (that is…next week or the following week )

what a great day!

so how was my day? let’s see…

• I was humiliated
• I was scolded
• I was called fat (I can’t seem to understand why I must conform to the ideal look that society wants me to…Do I have to be skinny to look attractive? mesti kah kurus ani? wajib? like bedusa kalau inda kurus? I mean tell me…WHY?!!!!! the nerve this girl came up to me this morning and said, “kurus kan tia badan mu ah” hahaha I tell you what, you give me a fucking good reason why then baru ku ikut cakap mu ah…)
• I was CRITICIZED for being me
• I was looked down on
• and the best part of it, I did nothing…

I tell you, it’s great to be me…I don’t think I could ever wish for anything better than this…all I can do is thanking those people who “made my day”! I had to give it to these people, they’re super talented…How do they get to be so mean? I mean, you have to be born with it right, it is not something you can easily acquired…Now, If you will excuse me, I have to go back to this “great life” of mine, I wouldn’t want to miss a minute of it…I’m just taking a minute break from it…you know, having to go through a “great life” can be pretty exhausting…

“kawan” and others

The conversation below took place at my ninis’, right after I was on the phone with a friend…

Nini: kawan mu dangan mu betlipun atu?

Me: awu

Nini: orang mana?

Me: orang mata-mata

Nini: ahh…lama udah kamu kenal?

Me: ada jua dalam dua taun udah

Nini: eh…lama udah kamu bekawan rupanya

me: *giving my bangang face*

Nini: siapa nama nya?

Me: Nadia

Nini: ahh?!!! bini2 ka?

Me: ahh? apakan ni?

Nini: kawan apakan ni?

Me: tadi nini tanya siapakan dengan ku btlipun atu? yatah tadi atu kawan ku…

Nini: astah…ku pikirtah kawan mu….

As you can see, my definition of kawan is simply kawan but I forgot that the old folks have a different definition of kawan that is “kawan” hahah but kalau si flo, it will always be “kawan” heheheh love you flo!

Last night’s football matches…OMG! Am I glad that EPL is back or what!!! I’m not going to make any comments regarding both matches but to just

btw, this week it’s going to be pretty hectic for me – I have so many things to do but I only have a week huhuhu how I wish there are 9 days in a week…

and yea, I’m fasting today…I’m pretty weak at the moment, lupa bangun sahur tadi and plus, my last heavy meal was around 5pm yesterday Nonetheless, I’m not complaining

anyhoot, in less than a week tani puasa! yay!

Hello again…just to let you all know that I’m happy with what we have so far…btw for next week’s meeting, we might have to bring it forward due to the public holiday and yes I wouldn’t want to be inconsiderate to those who live in KB and Temburong and those who want to see their family on a weekend and perhaps already have made plans with their family members…Hence, my only suggestion for next week’s meeting is on Thursday cuz some have CCA on Wednesday…Just let me know by Monday yea =D plus, I would really appreciate it if all can make it this time unless if you really really can not… and one more thing, here are the names of the group leaders:

What the heck!

I’m back again (awu…bibiran!)

I survived my first week back to uni…yay!!!

This is my story so far:

• I volunteered to do the very first presentation for Adrian and I did it yesterday…meaning, presentation for EL3220 was over and done with!!!

• I also volunteered to be the first to do a presentation for EL3219 in week 4 – I thought to myself, “I must be out of my mind!” yea…speaking of BK-ing (butt kissing! ), looks like I’m really brushing up my BK skill this semester hahaha I shall be an expert by the time I graduate…

• I’ve decided to register for Intermediate Spanish and sit for the exam…wuhu~~~ My Spanish is a little bit rusty at the moment…I’m working my ass on it! sikit ganya kami, 5 orang saja

• This semester – I’m free every Saturday!!! longgggggggggggggggggggg weekends for me….and the 3rd year Tesls

• and…………..Drama Studies, I’ll be the assistant director for this semester’s play (the main director is Dr Chin of course)…whhooaaa…big big responsibility there but I’m having so much fun doing this course and it’s only week 2…me? directing? hahaha I’m a bit scared but I want to do it…not that I have to but because I want to

Okay, let’s move on to something other than the above…

This week – two “tahlils” – one at my place and the other at my aunt’s you know what that means…I’ll be seeing the cousins…hooray!!!

oh well, that’s that………for now

It’s done!

Despite a very long depressing day yesterday, I managed to get things implanted where I wanted them to

so here are my courses for my 5th semester…woopy~~~

• EL3218 – Language, Culture and the Classroom – Core (Dr Ho)
• EL3219 – Language Course Design and Assessment – Core (Ms Elgar)
• EL3220 – Semantics and Pragmatics – Core (Dr Clynes and Dr Wood)
• EL3223 – Drama Studies – Elective (Dr Chin and Dr Sharifah)
• EL3402 – Functional Systemic Grammar – Elective (Dr Ho)

Intermediate Spanish? I’m still considering it and Drama Studies, I’m a bit fidgety about it…I love acting but I must admit, I have stage fright perhaps this is my one chance to overcome that fear…hence, I must do it and I think the course is going to be a barrel of fun…

All in all, I’m so ready for this semester btw, I have a presentation on Semantics this upcoming Monday woohoo! can’t wait…
